Performance Inquiry

Hi Guys/Devs,

 

I am planning to buy Fallen Enchantress Legendary Heroes but I'm not sure if it will at least run properly on my machine. I have a Core i5 laptop with Intel GMA HD (I think this is HD 2000). Can anyone confirm if Legendary Heroes will work better than the original FE title (based from the description of LH, it will work better than FE with older integrated cards..)

So I ran the game with my Integrated graphics card -Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000- it wasn't as great as when I run it with my GTX 555m, but the flow was relatively smooth and I can play the game with lower graphics nicely.

If you have FE, have you played the latest version 1.32. They did some good optimization to the rendering and seemed to do a lot of good. LH is using this optimized engine as well and ran much smoother than FE 1.00. Hard to say how it will run on your computer, but my best suggestion is if you have FE, that you check how it runs with the most up to date version. If it is running smoothly, then I believe that LH will run about the same.

thanks for the reply. unfortunately i dont have FE. my friend does. but he never got to play it well. when he initially bought it, it barely ran on Intel GMA HD (we have the same laptop).

anyways i think your HD 3000 is way better than my Intel GMA HD 2000. I do hope though that it can play on HD 2000 smoothly on the lowest settings (i just wanna play the game, even on very low setup)

Tell your friend to run the game on the newest version and see how it runs. The update they did has made the units move too quickly for me now. The animations are all their but the movement and such is very very quick and smooth. Not something I expected when I upgraded one day.

Since your friend has FE, you should be able to make an assessment about how LH would run.

I run Core i5 Laptop by HP, with HD 3000 integrated graphics.  No problems whatsoever.  I can even alt-tab and multitask with other stuff.  (Obviously my work productivity has taken a hit of late).  You will need to turn off some of the high level graphics enhancements, but frankly the game still looks quite good!
