Product Activation Deactivation

Dear Sirs/Madams:

I'm about to buy Stardocks's Object Desktop. However, I'm concerned about activation. A while back I bought some game that requires a whole bunch of third party software, signing in and out and cookies and waiting for their servers .. and on an on .. and I think they tracked activity too.

I noticed that Object Desktop requires activation. Is there a third party scheme involved, or does the product just quietly activate on its own and that's it.

What about limits? Once in a blue moon I wipe my machine and install from scratch. Will there be a hassle or will it go smoothly? Can I deactivate one installation of Object Desktop so I can use it again later?

Does Stardock software, or any third party that's required for Stardock software to run, monitor my activities, e.g. web browsing etc.?

Thank you for any replies,
LS

The activation process is our own process. Generally there would not be an issue unless you had to do many re-installs within a short period of time. If that ends up being the case you may hit an activation limit but we can reset it. There is no actual deactivation process but if you removed it from one machine, you could put it on another if you got a new one. We do not monitor your usage habits.
