I installed Start8 yesterday and it appeared to be working properly.

Today, I tried to changing a setting during the configuration process. In the control menu,  there is no dropdown selection being displayed for:  "START BUTTON SHOW WINDOWS 7 MENU".

I have tried all the Style and Configuration options to no avail. I also completely removed and downloaded start8.

 

Is there anything else I can do to be able to have the old windows 7 menu  come up after selecting the start button?

I am a little unclear on your issue here.

On the control tab you can pick Start button shows Start8 menu.  Then on the style tab you make sure the style is set to Windows 7 style.

When you click the start button you will get the Windows 7 style menu.

Thanks for your response.

I do have those options selected correctly, but the windows 8 start screen still  opens when I hit the start button.

The menu worked correctly yesterday, but I attempted to change a couple of other settings and lost the windows 7 style menu and can't get it back.

Opps, definitely operator error. Sorry

I looked again more carefully and found I actually had the wrong selection in the control menu.

I am very pleased with this software.
