the boy who cried "rip"

No, I swear, this one is real!

I just left a comment on the new "Exerus_Maq" skin for Dashboard ... I'd e-mail the guy too, but he has no address. He says in his readme file that he just modified my Mac skin. This was done without permission.

Honestly, I'm not really that concerned about this; what I am concerned about is he left half my original readme file, including my (old) e-mail address! Sheesh!

I agree Bill. That is undoubtedly a recolor ofvthe Crystal wallpaper that comes with Windows XP.

I don't think the question is really why this stuff gets done. The question is why it gets posted. It's easier to just alter someone else's stuff than create your own, but you should just be keeping it to yourself.

I'm actually a lot more lenient with this than I was before (amazing what a month of ignoring it all will do). Only reason I brought up the rip that started this thread is because the guy used my e-mail address!

Glen....always feel free to 'bring it up'....we need as much help as we can get to keep on top of issues such as this....we can't know every wall and/or skin personally to recognize a rip when it's presented.
What we DO get from an active community of fellow skinners is a far greater chance of spotting the bad egg when it appears...
