And if you waited another year or two you could have saved even more.

Yea, after a year, a price drop makes sense, but a 33% drop in a couple weeks on a brand new game?...

You mean people release stuff and then drop the price for holiday sales?  Those evil dastardly bastards.  Who can possibly keep up with their nefarious scheming ways.

I wasn't implying anything nefarious. Simply that a new game with a decent rating shouldn't need a sale, especially during the holidays when people are willing to spend more

If you bought it within 30 days, it would be nice if they offered a re-reimbursement of the difference.  No more or less than you'd get in a retail store on another type of product.

On the other hand, if you bought the game two years ago under the nicname Elemental:WOM, you would have it for free. Diabolical schemes...

I bought it for $40 and have already got value for money out of the game. (For Australians anyway) It is cheaper then most new releases and it's replay-ability is alot higher as well

Game industry is piracy down here. That's why I tend to stick to Digital Distribution, get some great deals some times, and I prefer older games which are harder to get physically (different issue).

To compare the two latest purchases I have made...

XCOM: EU, $70, 9 hours played, $7.78/Hour, cheaper than a movie.

Fallen Enchantress, $40, 60 hours played, 0.67$/Hour, cheaper than water.

XCOM sort of made me feel like playing Dungeon Keeper at times though...
