2 Questions !

Thanks in advance for whoever responds to this thread.
I just have 2 questions :

1. I downloaded DesktopX 1.2 and I'm having problems playing stuff with the Stadock player .... sometimes the lil' icon aprears in the sys tray and it freezes. Any ideas ?

2. In some of the themes, I'm getting unclear text in either the player and/or the date and time. The text has some bright colored dots around it almost like it's got a disease. lol. Your thoughts ?

#1. Are you using the player within a DX theme or DX object? Or stand alone.

#2. What is your color depth? Try going to DX Settings >Advanced and play around with some of those settings.

1. the player within a DX theme .... infact I just noticed that I'm gettin' a popping sound over the beats using the Stardock player ... it's fine with winamp.

If StardockPlayer freezes then it should at least generate a debug.log text in the Object Desktop\SDPlayer folder. Can you please send me that file to MadIce@Stardock.com. It may help with finding out what is wrong.

Ah sheez ... i just deleted the whole sdplayer folder coz i got pissed ... lol ... I'll just use winamp .. i like it better. oh yeah ... where could i find the universe metal skin for winamp and icq ? I've looked around this site and didn't see them.

Couple of things..

You can make DX object to control winamp using the DXplayer plugin. Works very well.

Go to www.pixtudio.com to get the universe metal winamp skins. (I think they are free)

ah man ... it's not there .... they've got skins for all the other proggys except wimamp (unless I've overlooked it) .... if someone does find the link to it .. pls post it !! thanks !

Jaz4eva: it may only be included in the full suite, which you have to pay for. But imho, it's a very reasonable price for everything that you get.
