Highlighted start button

Start button sometimes stays highlighted, even when the start menu is not open, as shown on the upper image. I am not sure it's a bug or not, but it's a little bit annoying.

same thing (not really big problem but would be nice if its fixed)

its seems that start button stays highlighted if click on

1)start and then click on desktop or any running  program window.

2)start and select any link from start menu

 

sometimes the highlighting disappears after some time sometimes you have to hover mouse over start button.

Is it possible to resize the large Windows 7 button like the real Windows 7 button? The Start8 button is a little bit to large.
