Fences loses icons to the desktop every now and then

Hi,

Fences 2.01 seems to be misplacing icons that are currently inside of a fence and stuffing them onto my desktop every now and then.

Most recently I have a fence that holds a bunch of folders for me, so I opened up one of the folders and then closed it, and now instead of that icon being in my "folders fence" where it started out at, it's now sitting on my desktop instead.

This is not the first time this has happened, it actually happend quite frequently, it's not always a folder icon that gets moved out of a fence, it also happens to regular desktop shortcuts, and other icons.

Could you please check up on this and fix it.

I have this happen to me as well, and on my other computer, I came into the room and woke it from hibernation, only to find all of the icons outside their fences..

This has happened to me a few times too. Not all the icons but random ones slightly outside their fence. It didn't seem to happen until I started using windows 8, however that could just be a coincidence. Hopefully it will get fixed as if you can't count on the icons staying in their fence it kind of defeats the point of using it.

Same here. Few items sometime go invisible as well.

The icons popping out of Fences part of this is not a new problem, as I reported it twice to support long ago with version 1 Pro. The slightest misstep with an icon in a Fence is apt to send it out, first by moving it out of line with the others.  In fact, I often don't know that anything happened until later when I need to do something in that Fence and notice two icons on top of each other, or unexpected and apparently illogical things start to happen.  I learned long ago that the first thing to check is the alignment of icons.  Fences is very fickle and not well set up to snap icons that are slightly disaplaced within the borders of a fence back into line.

Last night, with Fences 2, I also got the invisible icons problem.  Clicked on the right edge of my desktop by accident, not sure whether in or just outside of a fence, and three icons in a vertical row of six disappeared off the right side of the screen.  And not just them, but four in a vertical row of eight on the left edge of the monitor also disappeared.  Had to reboot the computer to get everything back to normal.

Writing to customer support is frustrating, and is hit and miss in terms of results.  It takes days for staff to respond to anything, and often it requires a few emails back and forth to clarify all your meanings.  By then, two weeks or more can have passed.   Even my report last week about the missing "Exclude this icon from Fences' quick-hide," an absolutely essential bug that should have been fixed right off - it's been a month already - took six days to get a reply.  And what did six days get me (us)?  That my email was being forwarded to the appropriate department "for their review and recommendations."   Review and recommendations???  How about for a fix!

Unfortunately, this seems to have NOT gone away.

Here I am, October 2015, using Fences 2.0 in Windows 7 Pro, and I accidentally dragged a fence to the upper reaches of the screen (to the point where the title bar shifted to the bottom), and it's as if all my icons were dumped out.  They were erased, actually, since I go to the "Desktop" in File Manager, and they are not there.

Well, they were erased and not erased, since they are NOT showing up in my recycle Bin.

Any solutions?
