I'm sorry, I'm soo drugged up right now I can't think clearly. How does one purchase the game for another? Can we get a hard copy delivered to them, or...?
Stardock could give the official answer, but if by 'hard copy' you mean physical media, I don't think Stardock sells those. I know the last Sins of a Solar Empire was 'digital distribution' only meaning download-only (which seems an inaccurate term to me, as optical media -- a DVD -- is digital).
If that's the case, I'm sure you could buy a download, download it onto a thumb drive/external drive or burn it onto a DVD-R to give it to your friend.
I wish for it too....but I know it's not going to happen. Best thing to do is burn your own backup.
Besides, having a hard copy of 1.0 isn't going to worth the CD because of all the polishing patches to come.
You can gift downloads on the Stardock store (see the "Gift this!" button in the shopping cart), but we are not currently offering hard copies of FE.
Or you can buy another copy on steam and give to friends....I use to do that, especialy for Demigod when 4 packs were on sale, bought a bunch of those!!
