.983 Patch Won't Install

So I downloaded the patch and now the patch is refusing to install saying that it can't find the game when the game is in the place where it says it should be. I would rather not have to redownload the entire 2.75gb game because that will take quite a while with my internet. Is there anything that can be done?

You might have the same problem with .984 for all we know. You try running it from inside the game folder? I can't really help, other than make the stupid joke above... which is no help.

I had this same exact problem when I downloaded the .983 patch.

Unfortunately I did resort to uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game. Very annoying, yeah. If you still have the original install files for whatever version you first installed, you could try uninstalling the game, re-installing from the install file you already have, then try running the patch again.

You probably have a modded version of the game, or the game somehow became corrupted.

Uninstall and delete all files in your my docs > my games > fallen enchantress folder. Reinstall.

How old is the version you are trying to patch over? 0.983 would only patch a few more recent previous builds from before it, though I didn't realize until today how that error condition would show up.

It wasn't the latest I don't believe. It's also refusing to let me into the game, but I believe it was the version before the last version - it isn't like the first round or anything. Keeps saying something about failed to login so I can't really check. Also wasn't a modded version, straight vanilla version. I had put the game on the back burner for the last couple of months and decided to come back. Guess I will have to download it all all over again...

I'm having the issue of it telling me I need the latest patch, then when I get the patch it tells me Ihave the patch.

I have the game on two comps, so far I only see the problem onone, haven't tested the other.

As an update I finally got the game to run, I am running version .91. Is that not supported by the installers?

Is 991 out (I just checked a few minutes ago and didn't see it). Also did they fix the bug where patches blow away mount points (i.e., is it safe to use the patch or should i reinstall the whole thing again) ?
