Can AI handle their own starting spots?

I just wanted to relay an interesting story that has to do with starting position, and whether AI gets attaacked by random creatures.

I started up a new game, and literally, right when I clicked off the starting narrative, I got another alert that said...Magnar had been destroyed!  I hadn't even had a turn yet.

I think the monsters have their turn, then the AI players in order, then the player.  So it might make sense for the monsters to not move on the first turn of the game, to allow players to put down their first city.

PS: Could you please make it so a Sovereign automatically is inside his city once it is founded?  This means if you need the firepower of the Sov to defend the city, you've got it, rather than the Sov standing outside watching the only city he is capable of founding going up in flames.  At least we will then be able to accurately guage whether the monsters attacking on Turn 2 are survivable.

Yes, please start Sov in city.  Thought E:WoM was like this, even had an option to turn it on and off.  That would be god too.

The current start is terrible IMO and I hope to see some improvements in the future :)
But I said that in general, I think they will wait with fixing starting locations and the like until  they know all the stuffs that needs to be in the map generator.

Monsters not moving on the first turn would be nice :)

Beta 2 had the sovereign start in the founded city, or at least the option. Not sure why it was removed. I have to agree it is quite annoying to have your sovereign kicked out after founding and lose the movement points because of it. Have not bene unlucky enough for losing the founding city to a mob on the first turn though, but I can see the possibility.
