[Bug or Feature?] Kingdom with Death magic

Might be intentional, but it's better to mention it then not.

My kingdom Sov. ground down an Empire Sov. and got him to capitulate to me. Cool.

I was looking at the Sov and then it struck me... hey.. hes got Death Magic!

Now thats not the surprising part (although I don't have any death shards to power the spells.....)

The surprising part is that I cast Steal Soul on him and my Sov gained Death.

Now thats cool. My Sov has every element now.

So, Bug or Feature?

Furthermore, if you get to keep Death shrines if you capture them as they are being built (by capturing cities, or raising outposts and building your own on the same turn)

This way you can have all kinds of shards as well.  I do not use Soul Steal, but I have had a level 4, broken-spirited death caster serving a Kingdom owning 3 death shards.

Same here.  In my current game I've done it a few times and have a Kingdom Sov with Death 3.

I think the best idea would be to get rid of the Life/Death mechanic, and use Life for both, or some other name.

Why?

Because the only real difference between life and death shards is visual, outside of annoying bugs.

It's not like sovereigns can use both (Apparently customs can, but you're not balancing for that)

It was not a custom sovereign, it was an enemy who surrendered to him, and got soulstealed (Spell).
