Are there any values influencing the chance to tame a beast, is spell-mastery important, too?

Yes, it can be resisted so spell mastery is important. There are no other modifiers.

To the developers: Perhaps it would be interesting to add a visible chance of taming similar to the hit chance, so you know if you should fight or try to tame.
