Load Game Bug

I encountered a really annoying bug today:

 

It appears that whenever I try to load a game, the game loads but all the icons are gone. I can see all the planets, but I cannot see the structures, the ships or the phase lanes connecting all the planets.

Are you sure you are not in Cinematic Mode? Cause that disables most of the icons.

Nope. I figured out what happened. For some reason when I load a game, all the visuals become unchecked in the user interface options.

This occurred to me also today. I think the background went away too. It was all black empty space in the gravity well.
