[.86][Idea] Need a "Teleport Item" spell?

If there is one, please forgive the post and direct me to it.  I have not seen it in the spell directory.

I know teleporting armies is a very powerful ability, but with as slow as Champions are for much of the game now, on large maps it would bring the game to a stop to turn back and give the item to another champion in another corner of the map, and you cant courier them with a lesser unit. Some items aren't right for the Champion that discovers them, but would be for another.

Otherwise you're not likely to be able to use the loot you find by the end of the game, which isn't much fun. I'd be fine if it cost the same amount as the army teleportation spell, but was non-elemental, so anyone could cast it. Just something that allows you to open a trade window with a non-adjacent army.

Again, if I've completely missed some game feature that addresses this issue, I apologize.

I usually have a bunch of spare low level champs, and use one of them to courier the item.  With a horse you're pretty fast.

That's not always an option for everyone, in every game.

I'd like to know your secret.  Even in .77 I didn't have spare champions.  Champions are down right sparse in .86.  For a game that's all about the magic, we're suddenly not getting many spellcasters.

In MoM, you only got 4 champions, but your sovereign was a participant in every battle to cast spells for you.

The game needs to recognize items gained by the faction (not just champions) and place them in a treasury that can be accessed while within allied territory. There could be a little button beside the item that says: "Teleport" that had a very small mana cost (15 sounds about right), and regular units that defeat enemies have a popup at the end of battle that asks if you want to teleport that item back to the capital or let it be lost in the wilds.

Additionally in the options game menu there should be a little checkbox that turns off the teleportation popup and automatically teleports items that are found by regular units without asking.

I'd be fine with loot going into a common "pool". I guess it's just a matter of what sounds easier to do at this point. Reworking the inventory system along the lines as you suggest, or simply allowing the already existing trade interface to be activated for non-adjacent units, at a cost.

I'm not hung up on a specific method, as long as I can get that spellstaff I just found into the hands of my mage on the other side of the large map before the game is essentially over. Otherwise, half the loot you find is worthless, and some of the shine comes off the loot system.

A teleport item spell is very much needed.  But let it have a one turn cool down - an exception can be made for loot found by troops.  Otherwise that uber-weapon I find early on (or any uber-item really) is going to appear in every battle I have!  Other option would be a large mana cost but this would detract from the utility of the transport.

If I aggressively recruit I have had games with 10 or more champions, and not enough troops to make each of those champs a viable roamer.  So they end up running errands (equipment) or lurking in town gaining 1 exp / turn.

I have also had games with just my Sov and one extra champ for an extremely long time.  It varies.
