Tiles: Missing all menu text + configuration menu text

As it says.

The running tasks show text, the shortcuts show text, but the skin text and configuration menu text does not appear/show/work.

Perhaps there is a missing font?

 

I have only installed the stardock free version, no previous betas.

 

I would really like to use/buy this product, but I cant see any text so... cant config it at all.

I had the problem with the missing configuration menu text on my laptop. The laptop is a Dell XPS 502 with Intel chipset graphics and an additional Nvidia graphics. The solution for this problem was for me to configure "TilesConfig.exe" to use the Nvidia graphics processor. The standard on the Dell ist to use the Intel graphics.

abadu: I'm having the same issue, on the same type of Dell machine with the same set of display drivers. How did you, as you say, configure "TilesConfig.exe" to use the NVidia graphics processor?

Right click on your desktop, and select 'NVIDIA Control Panel'.  Then do this:

This was done on an Asus, but the theory should still hold up.

I am having the same problem on a Latitude E6520,  I tried setting the TilesConfig.exe to use the Nvida card but it doesn't seem to work..  I really like the program but they need to fix this.

The problem appears to be a bug in the nvidia optimus technology.

We are looking into if we can detect this and fall back to gdi text rendering.
