Impulse loggin/password/serial problem

Well, today, i have try to update sins+ent+dip to the last version using Impulse and some strange thing have happen...

As i was using my good old Impulse client from Stardock... i was not enable to loggin... only solution was to reset the loggin/password on the site from Impulse and install the more recent Impulse client Gamestop...

Almost perfect... Ent and dip have upgrade perfectly... but there was a problem with sins itself :

Hell, it seem that my serial was not anymore valid... have begin to panic until i have remember that sins was registered before Impulse exist... was not a problem when Stardock was in control from Impulse... only when i have updated the Impulse client with Gamestop logo, problem have happen...

Solution is very simple, i have register again my original sins game with Impulse and everything was right...

These post is not a rant... goal is to inform people of the potential problem... maybe registration of old serial ( European boxed version ) before Impulse was created have not transfer perfectly when Gamestop have take control of Impulse... if somebody have a screen like these up, don't panic, simply try to register your serial again...

For me, I have a similar issue, I bought the game, the trinity version from gamestop today, the digital impulse version.  When I try to input the key that Impulse gave me, the one I get it when I click the "view registration" and I get an error that its not a trinity serial key, even though its the key impulse gave me.

is there anything I can do?

Well, in your case, it is a Gamestop/Impulse problem, so it is best to contact them...

Well, i don't know how it work today since i have not buy anything on Impulse since Stardock have sell it to Gamestop...

Let back on the topic... normally, when you buy via Impulse, you receive via e-mail a "purchase receipt"... be sure to use the data found on it ( lower part )... when register a serial to Impulse, be sure to use the e-mail address used for order the game ( e-mail address used for send you the "purchase receipt" )...

Well, have recently buy GalCiv II full package via the Stardock forum... download via Stardock, install, register via Stardock... and the game was added in the impulse list after a few second... was a positive experience...

On the other hand, when i have upgrade from the Stardock Impulse client to the more recent Gamestop Impulse client, one of my game ( The Entente - World War I Battlefields ) was removed ( from the hard drive and from the games listed on the impulse client )...

Do i need to contact the sales service from Stardock like it is wrote in my receipt or the sale service from Impulse/gamestop...

Never know problem with Impulse for years... but since Gamestop have take it over, problems have begin... sure that if similar problem append for other people, some customer will not anymore trust Stardock... i know that Stardock is not anymore responsible for Impulse but a lot of people have buy when Impulse was a Stardock service...

In my case, i can show the evidence that i have buy the game since i keep ALL my e-mail for 5 years... but if similar thing ( game buy long time ago who dissappear ) happen with other people, it can be a problem if they don't keep their order ticket for long ( no order nummer, no serial, etc )...

You can probably contact either GameStop or Stardock given the date on the purchase.

If it's disappearing from your Impulse games list, and it's not a Stardock game, that would be a Gamestop issue.  We don't have access to their databases, so we wouldn't be able to add/change anything for you.

It is not a Stardock game and yes, it a Impulse ( gamestop ) problem...

As for the purchase date, it is in my difficult to read quote, in the previous post...

I don't really care so much about these game ( it cannot play on Vista and win7, only xp 32 bit or older OS )... my post was more about showing that Gamestop is slowly destroying the very reliable tool ( Impulse ) that you have build... i know that Stardock is not anymore responsible for what happen with impulse but some of your previous customer will not be so much understanding and it can lead to Stardock having a bad reputation...

I trust Stardock and these various little problem with impulse/Gamestop change nothing because i know that you are not responsible...
