We're missing a Wizard

Does anybody know where Wizard1956 is? I realised that I hadn't seen a post by him for a good few days now. I hope he's okay.:S

Wiz is probably fine... probably doing Advanced Wiz 406 at LOTR U.  ;)

More likely an internet/computer issue.

Thanks, Doc. I'll take a chill pill and try not to worry.

Glad you said LOTR and not Hogwarts. Not that I dislike the HP stuff, it's just LOTR kicks its ass.

He is currently without internet. The neighbor and Wiz were sharing expense of an internet connection that was very iffy. It kept coming and going. Turned out to be a rinky dink provider.

They expect to have internet again on monday. They are going to a different ISP. They are also waiting for me to send 50 feet of cat5 cable, which I can't send until monday.

I spoke to him today, and am about to call him again. I'll let him know to check his PM when he returns.

Thanks for the info, Jim. (We really need a hug emoticon on here. Is it just me that thinks that?) I sometimes forget how different ISP's in America can be when compared to the ones over here in Blighty. I also forget just how small the UK is in comparison to the US.

Glad to know he's okay.

Just another instance of where bigger isn't better.... less cable/smaller wi-fi transmitters... not as far between public conveniences

Ditto!  Besides, the place isn't quite as jovial when Wiz isn't around.  :)

*pOOf*  I'm back! Thanks for wondering where I  went.  :sun:   It's nice to be missed (by something other than rocks and small arms fire.) I hope this ISP performs better than the last one. It cost about 15 bucks more per month but it's almost 7 times faster.

This thread was made to just get your attention. You weren't really missed so don't let it go to your head.  :-"

Mustard???  Woulda taken a lot more than that to dissuade me.

However, these days I'm more of an onlooker than a participant

Thank goodness for near perfect vision. :w00t:

Yeah, and thank goodness Jafo's aim is off  And to think, he considers himself as a bit of a marksman.  Back in his Stone Age days. though, it was discovered that he couldn't hit the side of a brontosaurus when standing right beside it, so they took him off the hunting party and gave him a cave painting job instead....
