Default home system in custom map

Probably a bit of a noob question but...How do you assign a race it's default home system when creating a custom map? E.g Terran home system sol, with Earth, Mars etc.. complete with textures. Tried ticking the home system option but it always just displays the home system as a random star with random planets e.g Antares. I'm guessing there's a way around this?
