Why is this the case?
I want to have a different gaming "ID" as I play. Why can't we create different IDs like other games? Would be awful if, say, EA decided that all Battlefield gamers had to use only one ID name.
Because they use the same database to tracking profiles (or at least they do for now).
That's hardly a reason. All games that have accounts use that to track profiles. I don't see why we can't create a different ingame ID. In Sins you could freely use whatever you wanted.
This is VERY bad, and totally turns me off from buying any games from impulse that have online play.
Many people (myself included) use a specific ingame name, something most friends identify you with.
I love then name 'Filthgrinder,' personally. You should embrace it.
