Question about the windows 7 startmenu

Hi there,

Im currently working on my 2nd substyle for a windowblinds
And the gradient on the startmenu has to be perfect.

And here it starts i ran into some trouble and i tryd hard to solve it before asking even tried using aditional layers but for this special case i need some professional help!
I made my 2nd substyle and i thought playing around with margins or aditional layers would help me to get this set correct but my Placeslist is driving me insane.
Its always out of place cutted 8 times already tried placing it on a photoshop dokument with the same size as bottom and top part calculated the distance from programlist but my places list is always out of place...
I already googled but i simply couldnt find the exact or perfect size for places list and program list for" OS windows 7 "so that it does not get streched.
Also the sizes of the whole startmenu in windows 7 would be interesting with that i could do some calculations and may be able to fix it myself.
I have seen some folks here that have a perfect gradient for the whole startmenu from bottom to top. I really beg you for help.
When i googled i didnt find width and height for each part :'(

Thanks Lightstar for your response i managed to clear my issue :grin:
For anyone interested in the startmenu sizes and gradients that need to be perfect the size for programlist and places list :
Programlist windows 7 standart : width is 230 height is 462
Placeslist windows 7 standart: width is 182 height is 497

Adjust them to match your skin ( if you have transparent Starmenu image with a gap beetween the solid background add it to the inside of the solid your startmenu in this size and your gradient will be perfect after setting the margins:thumbsup:
To be honest iam sooo proud of finally finding out something on my own as a rookie :grin:
