Stackers

Noticed a big trend lately. With all these new players around pros are going off and getting alt accounts, then pretending to be noobs so they can stack games.

Maybe it is because people all look at stats now, and avoid stacked game the 65%+ crowd of stat whores can't get off on their stomps anymore. So they use deception to pretend to be noobs.

A fairly typical example is me and another mid will be in a lobby with two noobs. So we spilt up thinking we are balancing, but only one turns out to be a noob, the other is a stomper in disguise. of, course two Mids/Pros vs one Mid and one Actual noob is as unbalanced as it comes.

So strike again for the stat whores and stompers who are ruining this game and making sure that genuine new players don't stick around. Slowly but surely these people are killing off what little community we have left. Well done guys, what game are you planning on ruining next?

Well, if I see a low-games/high win% player I always ask him whether it is his second acc. Most of alt acc folks are decent ppl and they admit (willingly or reluctantly) it's their second/third/55th acc. There are certain pseudo-noobs, no doubt, and I think reporting them here is a fair policy. As a rule, putting a game title like "XvX good mid & pro" will keep the stat whores at bay.

I have several accs myself, but they are all variant spellings of OMG_IN1, so no one is fooled.

PS: About that kill95321 guy... Seriously, he's no stacker, take a look at his record: http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/games/player/131188/

I have no idea how he managed it, but he was showing 0 games when I played him, he claimed to be a noob, but very clearly wasn't. I do not know why he has so several games shown and 0 listed on the account.

Came from elsewhere? (hamachi, gameranger, etc) Or is just amazingly good? He told me he is a dota player, I think.

I don't know if he listened to me what items to get just because I told, or because he knew that they would be good for him (well at least not terrible). However his playstyle was really good (dota player, so experienced in this thing).

transitioning from dota directly to dg results in getting ur butt whopped against any reasonably skilled opponents.

Both he and what appears to be his buddy:  BAKHLAWA + kill95321 created accounts in the last 5 days.  Anyway, If I had to make a guess, I'd wager the kill guy is a smurf and the bakhlawa account is someone new to the game.  At any rate, the community has created a portion of the problem.  Let's say my guess is right and the one guy is an experienced fella on a smurf account and his buddy is brand new. Odds are both guys want to play together, but if the guy joins a noob game on his original account, he might be run off by the host or whatever.  End result - he might not be able to play with his buddy - or would be considered a jerk if he joined a noob game with his noob pal.  Hell, the overlay and them ending up with a high degree of familiarity might even cause some folks to refuse to play against them.  So, perhaps the solution was to get another account during the $5 sale and start playing with his buddy in noob games, etc.  Anyway, just some thoughts - I know the actual problem apparently occurred because the seemingly experienced guy got put on 1 team and the inexperienced guy on the other (resulting in a mismatch).

This is all just speculation, anyway, and my exciting guesses may be way off.  I'd think it would be possible to avoid this sort of thing by playing in no noob games and just refusing to allow folks that join with few games and a high win % to play.  I personally would just move on from this sort of thing and avoid such folks in the future if you are concerned, but I say that knowing that this sort of thing doesn't really happen to me.
