ability to disable moving backgrounds from menus wanted.

i would greatly appreciate an option to disable the moving backgrounds that seem to have shown up in the latest version. Having this shifting, uncontrallable motion behind options screens i am trying to navigate makes me nausious and quickly gives me a splitting headache, along with just generally aggrevating me, and does so in record time. I really don't care what i see, even a plain old black background is fine, but this moving stuff has got to go.

I don't recall them moving, at the very least, they never moved like this. I preordered and have been playing since release, and it has never bothered me until now. I quit for awhile, waiting for 1.1, installed that, still didn't bother me. unfortunately i had to reinstall the game, since installing the menus have definitely changed, and have become very aggrevating. i assumed it was a result of a hot patch, maybe not then..?

The only thing i did differently when reinstalling, is i used the disks that were mailed to me, instead of downloading like i did the first time(which took way too long to want to do again, but if i have no choice...) i certainly don't recall doing anything else differently that may have disabled them.

So again, an option to disable these moving backgrounds  or instructions on how to hack them out would be appreciated, as i cannot tolerate them. They are the visual equivelent of nails on chalk board for me, worse really, as it lingers on.

That background has been the same for ages. Most likely you just noticed it now for some reason or another.

I would like to see this happen as well. While I don't suffer as much as dadoo2, I find it annoying to concentrate on the menu when things are moving in the background.

May I suggest showing the animation during loading instead?

This is definitely not something that was there and i simply missed, not only is the background bothering me, but the art work has become substantially more cartoony, i am guessing the patches didn't patch right... but something has changed.

And really, it isn't that i don't like it,  this is a physical reaction with me. i am not trying to be funny or insensitive here when i say this, think pokemon and siezures.  Some moving backgrounds don't affect me, probably a speed and colour issue. i can, forexample, play dominions3, i don't like it, but it doesn't bother me, however there was a mechwarrior i bought but never played because i couldn't get past the menus, and quite frankly if not fixed, i will never play this again.

its almost immediate eyestrain that leads to nausea and headaches, worse than that it leaves me very agitated, ready to jump down anyones throat for the slightest thing, a sensation that lasts for around a half hour to an hour. oboviously its not worth the aggrevation to play a game, and makes it a little hard to enjoy it. And like i said, it doesn't have to be fancy, it just has to be GONE, preferably without having to navigate the menus to disable it, i'm hoping for an .ini file i can edit.
