Do I misunderstand the meaning of 'the next parts' referred above when I ask if there has already been some additional content released for owners of the book?   If so, where can I download that? If not, then sorry for the misunderstanding.

EDIT: Nevermind the above!   I never bothered to look at the last pages of the book yet (cause I am still reading it), but I just found out about the serial key in the back of the book. I feel a bit stupid now...

Odd - I no longer have those characters available when I start a new game under 1.1.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Frog, you lied to me!  WHY?  WHY?  Like the above poster says, our book characters are gone.  Please fix it, buddy.

I un-installed it and reinstalled, and they are showing up now.

Now I just wish they would stop breaking it with every patch - this should be in the test scripts as it is official content.

If you play as a character Sov that cant cast spells, don't worry too much, your kids will be able to, so you are not completely cut off from that aspect of the game.

Also, Xanders kids are super bad ass.  If you can handle not having anyone able to cast magic until Xanders kids grow up, it's well worth it.  His three abilities are incredible alone, and combined with magic his kids are bad ass.  It sounds over powering, but it's pretty balanced if you consider the work and time it takes to get a full grown kid with a male sov. 

Can Ambrose not wear human sized armor?  Please fix it, I don't want to have to use him to lead Empire factions!  FROG, FIX IT PLEASE!  PLEASE!
