Can we update from the beta (I've got 1.09u) to 1.1 or do we need to go back & reinstall?

To be safe, you can un-check the "Show pre-release versions" checkbox and then right click on Elemental in Impulse and select "Verify Installation".  It will say your version is wrong.  Update it like normal and you will get rolled back to 1.09e.

Weird.. Mine is 12.13 MB.. Hm.

My download was only 8.5mb, but that was probably because I left it at 1.09w.   How odd.

50.5% done oh my. If I can't steamroll the AI on ridiculous I'll be terribly disappointed happy.

My installation was at 1.09w, but after a few minutes it still said "Update size: 1.99 GB".  Went back to 1.09e via Archive, same "Update size".

I installed 1.09e from an Impulse archive an got to update with 8 MB or so rather than 1.99 GB.   I think there is a different whether you use the Pre-release option on the opening screen or in the general preferences.

Stardock, would you be able to check up on this, and properly integrate both options - so that the pre-release option in the opening screen is functionally *exactly* the same as changing the slightly differently worded "Show Pre-Release (Alpha/Beta) Versions in the General Preferences?  I think there is currently a mis-match and things are not getting changed everywhere necessary.

It would be great if you fix this!  It would help all your future Impulse games too, I think.

8 MB is certainly better than 1.99 GB (and I think a lot of people got caught because they used the first pre-release option to update betas etc. rather than the one in the Preferences - General menu).

PS: What folders were meant to be automatically cleared with the update to 1.10?

EDIT: Actually, I think the automatic clearing happens with the first load of 1.10.

I went back to 1.09e too and the file size to update to 1.1 is 47.55MB....nice!

I swear it takes longer to install the game than it does to download the game...

*happy and content sound* just had some good fun hours of playing the game

only one "tiny crash" but i blame my rampant clicking fast in panic whilst the game was transitioning from tactical to strategic map - and i think i accidentally told a unit to go somewhere that was impossible -

"damn bear army killed off my champion due to a misclick from me - so panic clicking whilst he was moving/dying/getting mauled by 5 bears
