Fences Restore snapshot problem-2 (Alignment)

Fances realign during restore process

This is a little difficult to explain:

1-choose snapshot to restore

2-click restore

3-Starts to visibly restore to correct configuration

4-Oops, in the middle of restore it readjusts to its own configuration such that all the fences are close to touching each other

Tried

Turning off (unchecking) "autoalign icons" and  "autoarange icons" in windows right click>>view properties.  After restore, these are automatically set back (checked) by fences.

RE no. 3 above.  The restore is animated such that the icons can be seen "flying" to their snapshot positions and the fences restoring to their correct configuration.  Half way to the restore, fences changes direction and reverts to a configurations where all the fences are butted up against each other.  Looks suspiciously like one of my old fence configurations.

Thanks

Hi,

We have seen this happen, but only at different resolutions.  Did you take the snapshot at another resolution (other than the one you are restoring it at)?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

No, my monitor remains at 1680 x 1050 (left hand monitor) and 1280 x 1024 (right hand monitor).  Have not made resolution changes or played any games that may change my monitor resolution in several months (well before my latest fence setup which was created about 1 month ago).

-The majority of the fences and icons are on the smaller right hand monitor.

-When I save files to desktop they tend to fall onto the second monitor as well for some reason (this has been normal behavior on this computer for as long as I can recall).

-I also have objectDock set up on the right hand side of the right monitor.

-I haven't made any major changes or installations on this computer for the last 8 months or so.

If I think of any other information that would help you trouble shoot, I'll post here.  If you need any diagnostic files sent, I could provide them.

Thanks again.

OK.  Thank you so much for providing this, however I need to manage your expectations.  The fix for this is not going to be trivial.  With that said, we do think it is important to the quality of the product, so we are adding it to the list.

Exactly how do you select Snapshot?

Where is it?   Where can it be found?
