Parsing error

sysmetrix

I have noticed recently uploaded sysmetix skins with working weather but I am getting the parsing error for any location. I am using the latest version of sysmetrix. Does the url need to be changed from this http://weather.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/mgetmetar.pl?cccc=[METARCODE] to something else?

I am getting the same error, my weather stopped working and I am using 3.43, I tried installing the latest 3.44 thinking that might help but I almost broke my computer.  It wouldn't install.  I am using Windows XP SP2.  Firefox.  If anyone knows what is going on I would appreciate knowing what to do.

Thanks Darco

Darco you should not have any problems with the 3.44 version. That is stable and I have been using it for months now. I would suggest doing an uninstall and deleteing any left over files you can find. Then reinstall 3.44. I do not think that will help with the weather problem though. I think the metadata has changed. I read somewhere about making a change to the url that I posted but cannot find it. I think it had to do with just insirting html in the code but so far my efforts have been usless so it appears I am barking up the wrong tree.

JuniorCrooks,

Thanks for answering my plea for help.  I did not uninstall the 3.43 because it said not to, but it would not install and when I rebooted it couldn't find some file.  Needless to say I am computer illiterate, so when I unlocked it and rebooted again, I just left it alone with 3.43.  If 3.44 doesn't have the weather either because of some parsing error.  I will just leave well enough alone rather than lose my SysMetrix.  I have used them for years and really like them.  I can always use the Desktop X weather or Gadgets Weather.  I just thought there might be some fix that someone knew, but I guess most of it is better than nothing.  It is really a helpful little gadget and am so grateful to Xymantix for making it.

Thanks again,

Darco
