My tech tree shows blank

AS the title says, whenever I start a new game and build a study my tech tree only shows grey circles and as I level up those grey circles nothing happens. Or at least nothing seems to happen, I don´t really know if its a file problem (didn´t touch them) or a graphic problem, stardock is losing points with me as time passes.

have you tried a verify install in impulse?(open impulse, hold a shift key down, then right mouse click on elemental, then left mouse click on verify installation)
