Subscriber skins

I was wondering if SD is going to post any subscriber skins/themes for 2010. It would be nice if you did so as this is one of the reasons I pay a yearly subscription fee

I could be mistaken but I was under the impression with the release of ObjectDesktop 2010 that subscriber skins were dropped.

Someone from Stardock will come by and give us the real answer.

If this is true, I will most likely let my subscription expire. Unless someone can show me a compelling reason to have yearly subscription

Subscriber skins were discontinued a while ago.  That is one of the reasons we were able to drop the price of a subscription.  It's not that we won't ever release a subscriber-only skin, but there are no promises of a set amount of skins.

Subscribing gets you no-ads, unlimited downloads, etc.

For me the most compelling reasons to have yearly subscriptions is to help pay for the updates to ObjectDesktop and to keep WinCustomize online. :sun:

I never had a problem exceeding downloads before I subscribed as far as ads go I can use ad blocker.

Just out of curiosity what is the number of downloads you are restricted to?

Excuse me the money that one pays for Object Desktop should pay for keeping Wc on line as this is the best way to get their product out to users.

Not sure about that though I believe it's not the number of downloads but how much you download size wise like in MB's or GB's.

Ok what is the amount in size

It used to say on the store page for WinCustomize but it's been updated.  It now just shows no download limit.  If I remember correctly it is something like 50MB, but don't quote me.  Island Dog will see this and give you the correct non subscriber limit.

Stardock and WinCustomize are seperate divisions so that is not the case.  WinCustomize is set up to be seperate and self supporting, at least this is what has always been presented to the community.

This is another one of those questions that will need to be answered by someone like Island Dog.

Registered users are maxed at 500mb if I remember correctly, otherwise you will need an active subscription or an active product registration for unlimited downloads.

On another note, I discourage use of ad-blockers as ads are a source of income for not only this site, but plenty of others.
