Is it possible for Minor Races to have unique Techtrees?

Is it possible for Minor Races to have unique Techtrees?

I've tried simply changing what techtree they use, but to no avail.

Anyone have any suggestions?

So you mean you changed the tech tree in the xml but they still used the minor race tech tree?

I have an idea on the subject, but I can't test it until later.  Of course, by then I'll have to play out Q3 of the Kushana Initiative . . .

yes it quite possible just don't forget add the ethics stuff otherwise it won't load.

Yes, I modified the raceconfig.xml to give them different tech trees and assigned starting techs, but they still used the minor race tech tree for some reason, plus they did not have the starting techs that I assigned to them.

I did have the ethic techs in the custom tech tree.  I basically just added a few techs to the minor race tech tree, and also removed a few techs.  The techs I removed and replaced were the economy, industrial, and research improvement branches.

Oh now I see your problem rename the tech tree it should look like this

<TechTrees> <TechTree InternalName="MinorRace1_TechTree"> <DataChecksum NoParse="1"> <Ignore>DisplayName,Description,Details,Model,xmlns</Ignore> <Translate>DisplayName,Description,Details</Translate> </DataChecksum> <DisplayName>MinorRace1</DisplayName>

Rename it whatever you want the rename the minor races raceconfig.
