campaign bug with warn lord markinn

After patch to fix collect crystal, I waited about 4 days. Now I am trying to warn all the towns of the attack.

I am currently on warn Lord Markinn and the campaign had me build a city next to the lake to the left of gildar for the iron production. My city grew over time and I do not know if this is the issue, but lord Markinn city has no borders of the kingdom except the city itself. I am unable to enter the kingdom due to not being able to go into the city itself. So I am not able to complete this part of the campaign.

I already took my main force across the desert and I am unable to pass the dark wall. So I am stuck again. Please fix the campaign so I can progress further. I really like this game but all the stops and starts are really starting to annoy me.

Please if there are any known work arounds. I really would appreciate advice to continue.

Ok I'm going from memory here and it's late at night so I may get this wrong. Apologies in advance. From what I can remember there are two parts to this mission. Part A. You need to warn a group of people, Lord Markinn is just one of them, so you have to split your forces up. The force that goes warning the different rulers unlocks boats. This leads into part two

Part two requres you to explore the desert until you get to the unpassable gate. In the mean time your other forces have to enter the boats, and travel around the south part of the world to the eastern coast just south of where you were. Look for a flat land entry that slopes down to the sea. That's where you position your boat. Now there may be a command for ejecting all your units off the boat, for if there is I haven't found it. After much mucking around I ended up clicking on each unit indiviually to select them, then right clicking on the land. That moved the unit's from boat to land one at a time. Once the second force was off the boat move them over to the gate where your first force is waiting. The gate will open. Combine your forces, and move south, south west for the final boss fight. Enjoy.

Try sending a caravan if you have not already. In any case, as I remember he just gives you more resources to build forces with so you should be able to advance without it.

after patch I completed this whole section of the campaign with no problem. They give you a boat with troops...sail down to forest people get a troop out walk next to city....story advances....get back in boat sail to south of the city you mention...get troop out of boat walk up to city...story continues....

Raven, this is what I was doing, but the city in the gilden empire I have to warn now its the second kingdom you meet in the campaign. Just it wont let me warn them. I used the boats already.

Gwenio1, caravan has been going there since I been able to make caravans. I disbanded my caravan and made a new one and resent it, but it didn't work to trigger the event. I was hoping this would work darn.

Vorell, so far all cities have worked except the lord markinn one, did your lord markinn city have the area of infulence more than just the city? In my game his area of influence is just his city because my city became lvl 4 and pushed him to just one square of influence (just his city) hince I can not enter his area of influence.

Anymore suggestions would be helpful. Also does stardoc activitly look at forums still or is there a place to submit bug reports. There used to be a sub forum for bugs for stardoc games, but I am not able to find a bug forum for elemental?
