can i use an image as a background for my fences? i know i can choose a colour but it wld be nice to have seperate images for each fence 
At present you can't but that would be a nice option or even for it be skinned by WindowBlinds.

Problem is, lou, we can see right through that suggestion. Your motives are all too transparent.

While not yet an available feature, future versions of Fences Pro will offer the capability to customize fences' looks by more than just changing their color. In addition to being able to customize each fence individually, Fences Pro will also add the ability for you to set your own image, texture, or custom "skin" as the background for your Fence. Design your own, or use a template created by one of our artists.
So the answer to your question is not now but......... "coming soon"
Not currently. I think it would be neat to have brushed metal fences.
