A little something nice for Dominions fans

I love Dominions, so I have been adding a little bit of the game into Elemental wherever I can.

 

Here is an example of how I have changed the Sovereign Creation screen to look more like Dominions:

 

 

I still need to add Blood, Astral and Death; I put nature in to see how spellbooks work. They are very easy to implement compared to some of the other things in the game!

Haha, no.  Modding for Dominions.  Although, that would be cool...not sure you could really do it justice, all the nations in Elemental are pretty much the same, while Dominion nations are extremely varied.

Where do you frequent? I used to be pretty active in Dominion modding. I hang out on the Shrapnel forums.

Ahhh.  I have started, I've got the grunt work done on it, just need to work on the sprites and something to make it...special.  Plus, Elemental is keeping me busy.

Funny to see guys from the Shrapnel forums on here.  I should have fugured that since EWoM is friendly to modders, this would be a natural gathering place.  I was over there when they were still selling The War Engine.  After modding the hell out of that game I moved on to Space Empires IV and never looked back.

Great stuff, can you release the code for that. I will need to create similar books for the Master of Magic mod.

If you're a real dominion fan, you should be adding: Conjuration, Alteration, Evocation, Construction, Enchantment (already in for you), Thaumaturgy and Blood, not Nature, Air, etc... :p

Very nice. I love Dominions, and hope Elemental grows to be more like it (through extensive community modding if necessary). Keep up the good work.

Yup Dominions is a great game and very fun and I love the music for it.  If you end up with lots of it in Elemental that would be awesome as well!
