Overpowered Builds?

heh - don't let anyone get 2 artifacts and you'll be fine.  The majority of the builds are fairly balanced imo.  A ub with acclimation PERIOD is strong... the goal is to not let him hit 15.  Once level 15 comes around, there are some glaring differences... prior to that, its pretty reasonably balanced as long as one team is NOT choking left and right.

competent minion oak will take all the fun out of the game no artifacts needed, unless your teammates are absolute pros

really any competent player will take the fun out of any game if you think of it that way:

"fucking rook. All I'll be doing the whole game is fighting towers. I hate Rook"

"fucking Erebus. I'll never kill him. Mist, Batswarm, Bite, Mass Charm. fuck him"

"fucking Sedna. No one ever dies around her"

"fucking Oak teleporting away with 200 hp and a shield or saving allies"

"fucking early-game Queen destroying everything"

"fucking Regulus leaving mines everywhere!"

and so on.

none of those come even close to minion oak going straight for the citadel.

yes there is Blackmage, u can be a hording queen, a anti tower or army/Demigod killer

Maybe so, however i was playing a game a little while ago and someone after gaining like a 6 kill streak gained an artifact and was unstoppable for the rest of the game

Hey - so we agree... probably best not to let anyone get artifacts.  Put it this way - in my last 300 games, I have not had a single game where anyone was able to buy an artifact.  So, for me, its a bit of a moot point. Perhaps you are playing games with high gold settings and this happens a bit.  I don't generally do that.  I just play on default settings.

But, let's talk high gold then.  One demigod in particular, imo, has a huge advantage with artifacts at level 15 that no other dg could stand up to with similar items.  That's ub.  He gets acclimation at level 15.  Anytime he gets hit for 500 or more damage, he receives 40% less damage for 5 seconds.  Put that together with the bulwark of ages (which 100% of the time reduces damage by 25%) and you have a very hard to kill ub - that's going to be popping sigils anyway.  And that's with just one artifact. Give him ashkandor while you are at it and he's a complete nightmare.

So, I'd say if we are comparing apples to apples (dgs at level 15 with the same artifacts), ub has an pretty big edge. A reg focused on auto attack can certainly do a ton of damage with ashkandor of course, but the ub I described with the same kit would tear him up.

heh mcshane... i play on more than a few accounts   mostly cheesus now adays.  Though you are right - 300 is an exaggeration.  Its more like 180 games... heh. 

Haha got ya. Do you know who courage_dog(http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/player/59181) is by any chance?  Played a game with him last night and couldn't get it out of him.  Thought it was you at first but he's got way too many minutes; and he started off the game with plate visor then at level 12 still held first level mass charm.

Ok so this threat has ended, many dgs can be nightmares if they are played well early and gain godlike income early, and some are downright insane on their own with/without artifacts.
