[1.07][Bug] 3D engine start up crash the game

I am running Elemental on a MiniHP netbook on a TV screen. The game always crash when I enter the world map or a tactical battle.

When you start the game, on enter tactical battle, there is some white fog that should fade away. I think this is the effect that makes the game crash. What I see is my characters, some white fog all over the place, then a black screen, then a crash.

But, If I start the game on a cloth map and then switch to the 3d engine in the middle of the game, it does not crash.

So just check if there is a bug in the start up or if you could give the option to skip this animation when you enter the world or a battle.

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via pastebin. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session.

If there was a dump zip created in C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic on Windows XP), please post it via drop.io.

It looks like the driver is reporting that it supports shader model 3.0 so the game is trying to use that, while the 945 only actually does 2.0 (and emulated at that).

As your drivers are two years old, see if HP or (more likely) intel has anything more recent available.

Unfortunately, there does not see to be any driver update. I'll check again and see what I can do.
