Stuck by the Dark Wall in Campaign

After all my forces were split up and one group gone...

by land and another by sea near the wall, I can't move ahead and finish it.  I've encountered monsters on the plains but went after only the weakest ones.  I've read that I can't warn Gilden I 've tried landing south of it or disable the caravan.  I've docked my ship near the dark wall but no closer to the end.  Please let me know what should I do, Thank you.

It's been awhile but as I remember I unloaded my forces at beach up north.  Wall blocked me but I advanced and was told I had beating what ever was stopping me.  Turned south and..................then it's over.  I didn't take any forces by land and still was able to finish the campaign. Hope that some help.
