[Peformance]Poor FPS on the cloth map

Hello,

I've seen alot of complaints about how the game runs when it's zoomed in below the cloth map but i've not seen one about poor performance ON the cloth map. Infact i think i heard one of you say in the video tutorials that you had to code in a frame limiter just to stop the frame rate from going stupidly high and stressing the system more than it needed to.

Here's a screenshot with an FPS overlay:

So yeah, 9 FPS on the cloth map.

System Specs:

OS: Windows 7 x64

Processor : AMD Phenom II 965 Black Edition x4 3.4Ghz

RAM: 4GB 1333Mhz DDR3

Video Card: Asus ATI Radeon 5870 1024MB

Not sure what else is relevant really.

Also i'm still expriencing the out of memory crash after about 250 turns. It's been aleviated a little since the last patch, before it would crash just under 200.

I think we can agree that my computer should be more than upto the task of rendering the cloth map at a decent frame rate atleast. Considering you designed it for low end PCs and notebooks.

How is your performance without stacking jewelry for near-unlimited sight range?

Necromancy. I know...

I've just gotten back to reading replies after loosing interest in elemental for a while and now coming back to it with the 1.1 patch looming.

Anyway the jewelry makes almost no difference at all. I was using it at the time to see if the amount of monsters was the cause or not, there's another picture of the same world that I posted where the entire map is pretty much completely saturated in monster pins.

But anyway i'm sure you devs have tweaked the code enough that it behaves now and I should hopefully be able to play the game once 1.1 goes live. (i'm still getting memory leak related crashes in 1.9E)
