Water Rocket Jet-Pack and Wrist Mounted Flame Thrower!!!

Sweeeeeet!!!!

Man I gotta get me some of these!!!

First we have a water powered Jet Pack.

And then there's the Wrist Mounted Flame Thrower

I really would have laughed my ass off if that kid would have blown his arm off though...LoL. Think YouTube would have put that up? Heh....doubtful. Then again I used to make Flame Throwers out of hair spray when I was a kid and that was a lot less safe then what this kid did with the hose. That's a pretty smart idea as it keeps the flame from going back into the can and exploding. At least the kid had enough brains NOT to blow his arm off.

It's amazing all the wonderful gadgets we come up with isn't it?

1. Water Powered Back Pack: Might have a problem if the hose gets kinked or clogged... especially if you fall just in front of a large ship or power boat... could get ugly (*insert ground beef image here*).

I don't know if anyone else has a problem with that, but I wouldn't think it funny. Maybe because I've seen that and the attendant burns, and enucleated eyes. Pre-adults lack judgment until age 21-23. I guess you have to have raised kids through their teen years to understand the fear parents live with, and that's one of them...there are thousands more. Even for smart kids, and sometimes especially with them and the social pressures on them to dumb down to conform.

Guess I've just gotten old....sorry, Raven.

Wow, that jetpack looks like a ton of fun! I would definitely like to try that out sometime. ^_^

As for the flamethrower...........I guess we have to give the kid credit for not injuring himself, but personally, I don't think that's much of a good idea. If anything, it's just providing motivation for other kids to attempt (more) dangerous things. Playing with fireworks is one thing..........but this takes that to a whole new level..... :\ Great videos for a Monday morning though, thanks Raven

No need to be sorry, Doc. You're not old, brother. You're just not as sadistic as I am, that's all. ;)

Like I said I did sh!t like that as a kid. Honestly I wasn't even smart enough to attach a hose to keep the flames from backing up into the can. At least the kid did that so technically he was a lot safer here then when I did it with just a can and a lighter. From all the times I did it I most likely just got lucky I didn't end up blowing my hand off. Then again I used to light M80's and then shoot them with my sling shot before they exploded. If I wouldn't have been as fast as I was I would have blown my own fingers off.

The water jet-pack, as you can see in the vid, is dragging a small boat shaped object that is attached to the hose. I think this keeps the jet-pack weighted down and tethered so the hose can't come out of the water. As you point out though, all this thing has to do is hit a large wave that takes the boat end out of the water for a second and the pilot would slam into the water/boat/ground.....ouch...LoL.

lol man. Mario Sunshine is probably the Worst Game ever with Mario in it. That game truly didn't impress me. I rented it and took it back the same day. Quite sad as I've always liked the Mario games. That one just didn't do anything for me though.

Wow!  The water jet pack is great (if you're a millionaire).  The flamethrower kid is an idiot.  :P

Not your traditional Mario game, considering instead of killing things, you're cleaning them. However, I still enjoyed it, I thought it was a neat idea from Nintendo, and it at least tried to show their efforts to change from the traditional Mario story (which they then learned was necessary for a successful Mario game).  With that said, it still ranks low compared to other Mario games.
