Serial number not recognized by Impulse

After building a new computer I decided to install SINS and get the expansions and start playing again. Saddly my download for SINS was stopped and gave me this error:

"Error: The serial number you have entered is not recognized by Impulse. Only serial numbers provided by Stardock will be accepted."

I bought the game when it first came out. Is Impulse removing all the old serial numbers? I would very much not like to buy the game again that I already own. Is there a solution to fix this problem?

Thanks.

So, you signed in with your impulse account, saw Sins in your games, clicked download and then gave you that error? Weird. You won't have to pay for it again though, but you might need to contact support@stardock.com so they can get your account straightened out.

Try closing Impulse and running the following file:

http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/fix_registrations.reg

Make sure to follow the link in Internet Explorer, as other web browsers will not handle the file type correctly.  Once you follow the link, save the file and double click it to apply it.  Then relaunch Impulse.  You will need to re-login with your username/e-mail (either will work) and password.

i did try the regestration fix but it still does not work.  It even tells me that i never regestered my code in the first place.

fredbroca, I see the serial registered to your account now so you should be all set to access the game/updates via Impulse. Anyone else having serial issues should send us an email at support@stardock.com with the serial so we can look into it.
