I think there was a massive amount of confusion earlier in this thread...it is not the title bars that are an issue, it is the explorer background, which windowblinds makes translucent when not maximized, and makes ugly and opaque when maximized. It can also manifest as balck backgrounds, or bits being coloured in and bits not. There seemed to be some...agitation by previous posters over this, so to make it clear (or not as the case is for my explorer backgrounds)
normal windows, see through....maximized (or windowsnapped to the top in windows 7) and only the frame is see through, everything else goes nasty, sometimes leading to usability issues.
It does seem to apply across loads of skins, and in most cases only be rectified by basically disabling translucent backgrounds to explorer......
There seem to be at least 3 threads on this, so some help from anyone, stardock or otherwise, would be appreciated, since it really does look pretty poor, particularly now the winfx beta is out.... atm people with freeware style-hacked themes are getting nice translucency, and windowblinds isn;t living up to that at the moment. I am sure it will, as the new beta seemed to be referring directly to transparency in its changelog (can't actually see any difference whatsoever on my machine for some reason though)
I have actually reverted to bog standard aero a few times recently, because its not only a little bit faster, but also just looks cleaner if i am maximizing my windows.
(as a seperate suggestion, is the nav bar on the right able to be made translucent yet or not?...if not....can it be?)
