-- STILL A WASTE OF MONEY --

Great to see the small "elite" community not willing to work with a NOOB. You were never new at this game and wanted to learn from expierenced players - sure.

Have fun with your game that will be in theBargin Bin in two months, if not sooner - you elite, pompus pricks! -all 10 of you

lol you suprised people are kicking you out when you only have 2 games played??? (both pantheon both lost 1 to noob like you)

Remember nothing stopping you from hosting your own game.

Maybe you dont know, but this game really depends on whole team, and one unexperienced player can spoil whole match. That's why you should join a "noob game" or host your own, cos people probably will just kick you from mid and above games. And if you really want to learn from expierenced players then you should go here ->http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/replays.php?game=51 and learn from watching replays.

Ok I haven't posted in a while because I havent played in a while... But I have been reading the forum and have noticed this trend, New players complaining being kicked and older players saying host your own game.  This game is on its last legs and if you high skilled guys wish to be a small elite group of players then keep kicking these new guys and tell them to host there own "nooby games".  But if you want more "skilled" players to play with in the future it is in your interest to mentor these guys and build the population of this game.

Just a thought it is of course your right to kick them but please comsider the above. Because just as surely as the sun will rise these noobs can add to and make this community better or you can be an army of one playing on single player which is where this game in headed if you guys dont do something

See you out there

I have hosted more then 50 all welcome games. But I never gonna take noob to semi pro game. I may as well concede at the start.I cant understand why is it so freakin hard to host your own game with people about same level as you are. Instead of noobs keep joining pro games and keep gettin kicked and keep complaining.

Truth is if enemy team get feeded 2-3 times in first minute of the game and they know how to play semi pro you have very little chance to recover from that. People need to play more then 50 (sometimes 100 ) games to understand all valiable builds, items sets and way to counter every demigod. Not to mention map control, warscore control, kitting, ganking, how stuns and interupts work, how you can kill someone on the other side of map just by cappin hp flag. All this comes with time.

Ofcourse you dont need to master all these, not many people did but you need to have understanding of every of those aspects.

Say you might be the best sedna out there, but if you dont know how to change your build to counter tower rook or minion build you will become useless for your team.

lol not to mention you dont even have favor points for proper favor item...

I love how people keep saying that this game is on its last legs as though that is a convincing argument to change a current action. The problem with that logic is that it does not address the motivation for the decision. Those who still play the game, play it because the get something out of it. If that is decreased by playing with people with unproven records, then why would they change that because fewer people are playing?

I have no problem teaching a total noob the ropes, but everytime i try to help they kick me, or don't listen if we actually play a game. If you want to learn host a game put it in the title im sure someone will be kind enough to come by and show you the basics. Also when you do get in a game save the replay and watch what everyone else does.

The problem here isn't teaching the noobs, but they are trying to join games way above their own skill level. When they are kicked they come to the bored and bitch about it, and 9/10 out of ten if you try to take the polite approuch and explain it to them before asking them to leave. They either try and lie and say some shit about have a new account, Call you an elitist noob or wtf other crap, or you just may end up losing other experienced players already in game; while trying to explain to them.

Really? You are posting and you are not one of us, so logic void.

This thread is a waste of time because:

  1. The experienced players don't want the player base to grow enough to allow noobs into their games
  2. The noobs cannot find games because there aren't enough noobs to form a game because of #1

One of the few times I have played recently I was kicked out of a "pro" lobby for being too low and then when I tried to join a "noob" lobby I was kicked for being too high.  Clearly the system is flawed.

I am so glad that when I began playing L4D that it didn't show the number of games I had played or else I would have never been given the opportunity to have my ass handed to me and then learn from it.  Noobs don't train noobs, seasoned veterans do.

I still play DG from time to time (when I don't have something better to play), but the community is far too elitest to sustain itself, much less to grow.

Soo has any of you tried to get on lagwars?

That's what I thought

Have any of you actually politely asked a better player for help?

That's what I thought

Have you just whined about it on the forums?

Yes.

Edit: If someone either Pm's me I'll gladly host and play games with them and cp has shown they will do the same (maybe, its been a while) if you get on lagwars when he's playing dg.

Come on the irony is agonizing!

this is akin to a five-year-old whining at a lifeguard for telling him he can't swim in the deep end. in both content and attitude. you'll get the same thing in age of empires, warcraft, and any other team-based strategy game you find.

I couldn't even get in a game in age of empires.

I've reported this thread and requested it be closed.

Such a shame to see bandwidth needlessly wasted on threads like this when there are bandwidth starved nerds and gamers all over the world who'd kill for just one more megabyte. For shame.
