Bug in "Your Forces Have Been Attacked"

You can press the <space> bar to advance to the next turn, even when a dialog has popped up, like "Your Forces Have Been Attacked!", a battle, research advance, etc.  They stack up the longer you keep advancing the turn. Enemy troops continue to move, etc.  I can't tell whether the same units attack you repeatedly.  If you complete a research advance more than once, you can choose the same advancement twice.
