SERIOUS THREAD - OD SUPPORT NEEDED

I figured out I would ask the questions here instead of directly send an email to the support group. Many others may have the same questions. Less email being sent asking the same question lol

I have OD activated on my Desktop. I plan to do a fresh install with Windows 7. Don't let the door hits you Vista on your way out :w00t: .

Now is there a procedure to deactivate OD before reinstalling it again? Stardock might think another copy is being installed on a different PC. I also just purchased an Alienware M17x laptop from DELL (A true BEAST). I'm thinking of leaving the  windows 7ultimate runs on it without OD. But I wonder if I can install OD on the laptop as well. Will stardock allow OD to be installed on both the Desktop and laptop?

Thanks

Never thought you for a "serious thread"

To answer your question, no need deactivate, just install it when you load up Windows 7. If you hit your limit on activations, shoot support an email asking them to reset your activations.

As for installing on 2 machines, it is allowed as the EULA states.

YOU MAY:
1. Install and use one copy of the SOFTWARE on a single computer.
2. Install a second copy of the SOFTWARE on a second computer only if you are the main user of this computer (home computer or laptop for example).

There's a limit to the number of times you can download OD+, Elsius.

I suggest you contact Sales or Support at SD with your question, or a Moderator. It's a serious question and I for one, would not recommend guessing an answer.

You should also have posted this in a Support Section. No one fools around on those threads.

CG.... there's also a separate limit to the number of times software can be downloaded.

I have all my stardock stuff installed on 2 PC's and a laptop. It goes by IP address.

There is a limit to the activations. But you can get stardock to reset those.
