Lol, I'm on morning study leave for a Business Studies GCSE.

That's right, we get an entire morning to do our last-minute preparation for a 45-minute, multiple choice exam ;P

Ha I remeber those days. GCSE is almost indentical to what we do in the Caribbean as we copy the British system

Hmm... I've been thinking (Code Geass inspired brainwave coming up), that the Guren Mk2's weapon is a pretty sinister weapon. Here's my reasoning...

It almost always stops a pilot from ejecting (which they can usually do, or at least escape the cockpit later, seeing as most weapons don't kill the pilot. That said, I'm assuming that normal Knightmare rounds don't penetrate the cockpit's armour. Also, if a hand-to-hand Knightmare approaches, seeing as they ussually completely destroy a Knightmare, you have a chance to escape as it closes the distance)

It causes immense physical damage, and therefore pain, before it actually kills someone (as evidenced by Jeremiah. I'm pretty sure that he was bleeding everywhere before he managed to eject. Of course, a bullet will do the same thing, but you would be less helpless, and you could be recovered through normal medical means (unlike Jeremiah). I'm also pretty sure that a Knightmare-calibre round coming through your cockpit won't leave much of you behind anyway)

You can't fight it... The only countermeasure I've seen is to detach whatever ever bit of the Knightmare its holding, or, of course, to blow off the Guren arm. However, seeing as the only projectile that's done that so far is the VARIS, the isn't really a viable option (it can simply destroy any melee weapon, except maybe MVS's. I'm not sure)

So... comments? Opinions?

(I really am over-analysing this show. Oh, I almost forgot, All Hail Britannia!)

Hey, the Germans are already working on it. They don't need the Russians. Have you noticed how, while we all suffer in the credit crunch, they seem to have been first on their feet, and they're not helping anyone? Economic takeover, people... They've clicked that they can't beat the Brits (and Americans, of course), so they can't have Europe. They can't beat the Russians so they can't have Asia. But nobody notices the stealthy monetary invasion...
End of Alpha_003_Snipe's quote

The German politicians are some of the smartest politicians on earth right now. They are playing their game really well, and the economic guerrilla war is in their favor.

Since they have invested money on the fall of the Euro, and have a lot on US dollars, along with the Americans to support this war, they really really do benefit a lot from this.

Not only they do not lose anything when the Euro slowly goes down, not only they are constantly refusing to help others (Greece, Spain), but they really gain a lot of money from it.

Yes, the Germans are playing a very smart and sneaky game, making huge profits over other countries' back.

But who's got the upper hand in all of this except the Germans? Who's the silent, stealthy hitman that is waiting to strike at the right opportune time?

Answer: The Chinese.

Since the USA have been considered the superpower country of the world, and the americans have been pulling strings for decades now, and they not only have the biggest military power in the world, but also the biggest debt in the world.

As of the end of 2009, the US debt goes up to ~12 trillion dollars (if I am correct), and keeps rising at an increasing rate. The US government is based on the consumption of their products, and the HUGE sales in stock market, but they get an even bigger income of that, from the Chinese.

China has been buying US bonds for years now, supporting their economy AND the US economy. But what will happen when the Chinese stop buying US bonds? What will happen when their oil supply gets depleted, and they start looking elsewhere for it?

Gives you something to think about, but really, 1 thing is certain: China has been silent for many years now, and when the sleeping dragon awakes, it just might be the start of a so long feared WWIII.

TBH I dont like the movie 300. It completely distorts my nation's history, to a degree that is disgustingly lame.

The movie 300 is a piece of crap. Its only good if you watch as an action-comic movie, disregarding history and real life.

part 2 0f 3 Chapter 1

” I put a hand on his muscular shoulder “Dan”.  I struggled for words. “Your son is dead. Extreme horror appeared in his eyes “you lie” as tears started to form. “You lying bastard” he growled flipping over a table of finished weapons he picked up a dagger. “I should gut you for such a lie” he said holding it to my chest. I walked back a step, he walked forward a step. “Dan, calm yourself he tells the truth” we looked over to see my father walking up. “son, you should go ill talk to Dan” I didn’t object I walked backwards until I was five feet away then turned and walked quickly away.

That night a thunder storm shook our homes. Priest dressed in black robes lead the way with lit torches, more priests followed behind carrying Jarrod’s casket, Then priestesses would follow reciting the chat of the dead, then finally the victims family. As was custom the casket was open as it passed. Jarrod’s neck had been torn away you could still see the horror in his expression. Syllin buried her face in my shoulder, holding back tears I stroked her hair wishing I could of saved him. There was no way a bandit did this. Whatever did it I swore revenge. But first I had to ask Aden what really happened.

When I returned home Aden was by the fire. “Aden” he looked up I could tell he had been crying. “Aden, what really happened that day on patrol” his look a grief was replaced with absolute fear. “We…we… we were attacked by a group of bandits that’s it” he avoided my gaze I knew he was lying. “Aden, whatever it was you can tell me”. He shook his head “I tell you the truth brother” he started to cry agen. “Aden” he broke into tears. “it was a vampire” he screamed. “We were walking on our route and it came from the east, at first we thought it was a traveler” he let out a few wails before continuing “he stopped us to ask for news and then…” he struggled at the last part. “He tore out Aden throat drinking his blood, I tried to stop him but he swatted me away like a fly”. I could not believe what I was hearing. There has not been a vampire sighting for at least two hundred years. “Aden I’m sorry I didn’t know” I tried to calm him before the neighbors heard. “no, no he’s going to kill us all we must flee” with that he stormed out of the house, I decided to let him go he would probably be back by morning.

That night I could not sleep. Nightmares of vampires and death filled my mind. I laid on my mat listening to the rain patter on the roof. Someone was coming up the latter to where I was laying. “Marcus” it was my father. “Yes” I called down trying to sound tired. My father made it up he was holding a lantern, the look on his face was grim. “What’s wrong father” I could see the tears in his eyes. “We found Aden” the sound of my brothers name made me jump up. “we found him in the white road in a pool of blood”  I could not believe what I was hearing. Aden the strong brave loving brother of mine dead, it was not true. “How, how did he die” I begged desperately to know. “He was covered in claw marks, his face was smashed in”. I couldn’t belive this I wanted to scream. I wanted to take revenge. I jumped down from the rafters “mark wait” my father called but I didn’t listen.

I ran up the hill to the blacksmith. Dan was there smiting a hot piece of iron he looked up to see who came in. “mark” he said “what do you need”. I leaned over panting heavily the rain soaked my clothes “my sword and armor where are they”. He looked surprised “in back why…” I didn’t even let him finish. I ran to the back grabbing the armor and sword. There was one more person to see, Syillin. I had to say good bye before I left just in case I didn’t come back. I went to the small home on the Easter edge of the village and went around to the back where Syillin’s room was. I removed the wooden plank that I used to get in many time and quietly snuck in. I saw Syillin lying in her bed, her golden hair flashed white from the lightning. I walked over to her and kissed her on the cheek and left her my ring. If I never came back at least she would have that .

Hmm... I think I'll have to wait for Zer0 to have my Code Geass discussion...

As for China being the next superpower, how abvout Generals: Zero Hour? At the end, China beats the GLA (who are obviously not a powered-up Al Quaeda) and makes the Eurasian Alliance (or something like that) with the EU. Badassery ensues, and America is forced to hide in its hole and become a secondary country. Score one for Britain (who are obviously supplying the Chinese with cans of whoop-ass.)

A very possible scenario, except that there isnt any GLA, and that there isnt any Al Quaeda.

Still, if something like that were to happen, and the USA were to go down, you can be assured that they would nuke the hell out of their enemies before they did.

I'll bite on the Al-Quaeda thing. Because quite frankly Osama Bin Laden is out there, and he's got his whole jihad thing against the Western world.

I'm not saying that the politicians and CEOs aren't out to milk the world for all the cash they can get, I'm just saying that Al-Quaeda does exist, and it is a credible threat. A fairly minor threat (a few nukes would probably take care of the problem quite nicely), but a threat none the less.

It exists in the same manner as, say, Area 51.

It exists, you can find it if you have the money and time, but it's wrapped in a cover-up and deep-fried in government conspiracy, and is simply a distraction for what is really being done.

By the way, here's some of my thoughts on the earlier matter Morph.

Britain's has a lot of unmined coal. This is because it was not economically viable to mine the seams when you could get all your fossil fuels from elsewhere. Now, when the fossil fuel market goes tits up, what do we have? Tons of coal. Not enough to power the country on our current consumption, but cut down a bit, and we could survive a fossil-fuel-fail! Of course, staying out of the wars which would no doubt ensue after the loss of fossil fuels would be tough, but you know... If the world doesn't get nuked into little pieces, we could do alright.

Another proposal is: why don't we get nuclear fusion? You know what, world peace would make research much easier... If all the nuclear talent worldwide worked together, I'm sure that we'd crack the fusion problem pretty quickly.
