When/How did you learn of Elemental.

As the title says, when or how did you learn of Elemental? I'm curious.

I'll go first: I learned of elemental while searching for information on Galactic Civ 3. I found an interview which stated that GalCiv3 would use the same engine as an "Unnamed" game being developed by Stardock sometimes called Not Mom. So I searched the net for "Not Mom" found nothing until I realized it would be easier to go to Stardocks wiki page and see which game they've developed. And here I am! My exact join date/First post was: January 15, 2010 9:57:16 AM.

Okay, your turn.

I lurk on too many SD forums.  At original announcement.

I heard about it from some other people on the GC2 forums. I think it was GW Swicord who actually told me about it. After a while, I decided to take a look at what all the fuss was about, and came over here. Lurked on the forums over spring break, then decided to join.

I heard about it via the GC2 boards also, although I vaguely recall some folks sharing links to Brad typing somewhere like QuarterToThree and maybe an interview at some game magazine site.

This project is the main reason I bought TGN tokens (RIP TotalGaming.net). I wanted to 'invest' long before pre-orders became available.

I heard a guy in my Warhammer guild mention it offhand during a conversation.  He rarely played and just trolled forums on our ventrillo server all day.

They hinted at it in the GC2 dev journals. I read the GC2 journals every day just for snippets of news about this game for years. Now that there's an actual website, it's pretty awesome.

Also as a fun note, I pre-ordered Elemental on 1/16/2010 7:26:08 AM

Ya, it only took one day for me to make my decision about this game.

I too first heard about it on the GalCiv2 forums.  I've been panting with anticipation ever since!

GalCiv II Dev Journals (a.k.a. the very first info shared about Elemental).

I don't even remember where I heard about it but I know it wasn't from any other SD stuff (I've never played any of their games besides a few minutes of Sins of a Solar Empire which wasn't really my thing).

I've been waiting for the second coming of MoM for as long as I can remember. I've even explored making such a game myself, though I've never been able to get past the procrastination stage (making a new game all by yourself is a daunting task to say the least).

Impulse ad!  (I think)  (Hmm, well it could have been an email but I think it was in Impulse.)

Sounded like Master of Magic when I read about it so I pre-ordered right away... :D

Way back, when it was still called Not-MoM, on the GalCiv2 boards.

It's the GalCiv2 boards for me as well. I preordered right away on November 4th, 2008.

Fairly recently, when I noticed the Elemental dev journals on the SoaSE forum. Now I can't wait.

I had heard a friend talk about Elemental, however I didn't get Exited about it till PAX 09 (in september,) when I listened to a passionate Brad Wardel talk about his game, that pretty much sold me on it.
