Diplomacy Issues

I'm got Sins recently, but I can't really seem to get ahold of the diplomatic side of the game (no Diplomacy, just 1.18).  Various matches with it enabled ended with the entire AI allying against me; the last time I actually managed to win wiith it enabled was during a Normal match instead, and then I just completely ignored it and fell into an alliance without exerting too much effort.  My playing style just doesn't often meet the demands of the AI's "go kill 5 structues" when I don't have much of a fleet.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Fixed Teams.

 

Not being funny but it was the only way to enjoy the game for me.  Hoping my preorder of Diplomacy was the right decision and it makes it enjoyable :)

Yeah the AI for sure have a tendency to gain up on "strongest" player, which is usually the human player. Though others have said they still have preference for targetting humans, perhaps because they can at least understand the other AI's diplomatic system.

 

Put simply, diplomacy has always been one of Sins weak points, which is why they are doing an expansion on it. Either do what Haree said and always play on locked teams or do every single mission you get, its really all you can do.

Honestly, the only real option to fix this is the "locked teams" options in the game options bar. Unless you're planning on getting Diplomacy (alongside Entrenchment) there's nothing really you can do with diplomacy.
