Invalid gamestate

Me and my buddy were playing online (i have a grand total of 3 games played ever) and we were doing very well, about to end the game. Suddenly 2 demigod players dropped from the game, and we get an invalid gamestate error, and it closes 10 seconds later. My friend said he was playing with a trainer and the same issue appeared on a LAN game, during one of his tinkering sessions.

Is this a known issue? Are there any consequences to jackasses ruining the game for other people?

Sorry, just gotta live with the frustration.  Or, if you're really feeling vicious and vengeful, get their IP address from your game log and run some vulnerability and port scanners on thier system.  Then find a hole and attack :)  Careful though, questionable legality.

if  they do it about 500 times(and you catch them i.e. screenie) you might get them banned..... maybe.......

Wow, if you initiated computer attacks because of a video game, you need some serious help.

Invalid gamestates are a WELL known issue. Some people can cause them on purpose, sometimes they just happen for no reason. It is part of Demigod multiplayer, so you just have to learn to accept it if you are going to continue playing. They are only frustrating for the stat whores for the most part, as they tend to occur near the end of games (or when ppl quit like in your case, but you had won by then anyway if they were dropping out), but sometimes they can ruin a perfectly good game.

It's one of those times you wish you could hurt people through the interwebs.

Why do people care about winning? BECAUSE ITS THEM! They deserve a win! it wasnt their fault. They were perfect, just like their fucking mommy told them every day, including this morning. To deny them a win would be like denying them air.

I don't care about stats. AT ALL. But what bothers me is how downhill people in general are going.

If you do this on purpose. Even once. I hope you live a LONG and lonely life. I hope people realize what a terrible person you are and avoid you. I hope your feet become fat and bloated so you cant walk. I hope because of your walking issue you grow too fat to leave your house. I hope that because of this, you lose both your arms from your fatness.

And lastly, I hope you ITCH REALLY FUCKING BAD after you have no arms for 30 or so years till you die of irritation.

I care about stats. I'm not about to go against Kingslet and Horsestrangler with a teammate that has 100 games and 30% win record.

I am trying to get this guy banned so here is the replay, which I have posted in a few other topics as well

Kiranfoxdemon - Only one not doing anything at the end.

Zarthol - I saw your post in another thread as well.  Pressing alt+tab or walking away from the computer isn't really a cheat.  I understand your frustration, but perhaps an event in real occurred that caused the player to have to walk away?  Or, worst case scenario, the player went afk with some sort of malicious intent, but I'd pretty confident this isn't a bannable offense in SD's opinion

It is possible that he walked away, but highly unlikely - I used to know some people that used the program I have talked about in another thread. I know how it works and what kind of behavior to look for if someone uses it. The fact is the program was used, and it is nigh impossible for any of the other two players to have done it as they are moving around and attacking things. For the program to work you must alt-tab and put in non valid values into attributes of your or other peoples demigod.

I didn't check your link to the replay where you indicate its someone triggerring an invalid gamestate.... I only read that you indicated that an individual went afk and that you want him banned.  I see then...

I agree, maybe I should refrain from such suggestions, even though it was in jest.  OTOH, what could be a better reason for attacking a system?  Oh ya, money, botnets, RBN.
