Professional Bus-throwing

I need to start a list of peeps who throw their teammates under the bus.

For clarification, it is REQUIRED, not VOLUNTARY that you, as a team member, help your teammates.

-On a retreat, getting behind the tower and staying close, using anything you got to help your teammate make it.  Shield, heal, slow, speed, cube, etc.  Pulling a "Forrest Gump" and just booking it for the crystal means you're a bus-throwing jackass.

-Not saying "b" in a close fight, or any fight really.  If you have a rook on your team, warn him early, he needs more time and help.

-Not watching the map when going to the crystal.  On the way back out, you need an "omw" (on my way), and watch in case your teammate is getting ganked.  A TP or just running at him with a shield, heal, etc may indeed save him.  How many times its looked hopeless, but you someone shield/heal a guy at 2hp and he makes it.

-Not Communicating.  Period.  "B" "OMW" "OOM" "CAPPING MID" "GETTING Curr 1", etc.  are REQUIRED.  It's not "extra work".

-Buying cit upgrades.  You pitch in, you selfish bastard.

-This is obvious, but the jackasses who push a lane and heaven's wrath the other lane.  You should be banned to single player only.

-Playing regulus and you don't describe yourself as "pretty damn good" with ANY and ALL DGs.

If he uses Fury right next to you still get the same amount of gold that you would have gotten if you had killed them yourself.

The XP is halved though :-/

You DID read my mind.  Yeah, he kills his lane, takes half your xp... as regulus.  So my UB is level 6 and he's 10, but he still cannot hold a lane, nor bothers to snipe.  That guy qualifies as an olympic class bus-throwing champ.

A 2v2 strat irek and I (and also RAWR and me) used to use was a UB with Heaven's Wrath with a Sedna with Blood Soaked Wand that got Tower Regen right off the bat.

Me and him would lane together on the HP side, continously wrathing the other lane. Sedna+UB is a pretty strong combination and Blood Soaked Wand allows you to be pretty reckless about pushing towers and stuff. As soon as we got that tower down then we would swap around to the other side and rape that tower.

The issue with this of course is that is abesolutely, positively relies on taking the massive early game advantage to push through since once we get both towers down we split up, and we both have weaker favor items for 1v1'ing in a lane. It was a fun strat and it's nice getting to level 4 as a  UB when everyone else is level 2, but I don't know if it would hold out well in competitive play.

Irek and I went against Pod + KALEL and we lost fairly badly but we were still learning it a bit :D We did go against another premade (twice I think) and we did well though.

An Overleveld Beast is a terrifying think. Grasp when you are level 3 is painful.

You can never, ever carry too much TP.

Always have a roll ready.

I mostly play Rook and not communicating pisses me off so much I can't even begin to describe it. I don't think the word has been invented yet, actually.

On the other hand, what pisses me off is people who start screaming at me when I communicate. "I'll hold Mana, you guys take HP" gets met with "STFU noob, stop telling me what to do!", stat reports like "tp out", "omw", "oom", "no pots" and the like often illicit responses such as "u talk 2 much".

People are such idiots sometimes...

My favorite is, I have 6K for giants, you have 4.8K for cata.

OK, buy cata I will buy giants... but no...you want to buy giants in hopes of the extra favor. So I buy cata and a few minutes later you buy giants.... nice work.

This happens alot.

I play queen and when you don't communicate with me; I just may pretend you don't need a shield when you are about to die >.>

You're hurting yourself as well with this. When I get a bad teammate, I play defensively, always on alert, ready to tp in to help them with no expectation for them to do the same.

Yeah, one of the perks of playing Rook is that people never expect you to jump in and save their ass :)

You haven't learned by now I only play for fun? Winning and losing absolutely means nothing to me.

Winning is, for the most part, eternally tied to fun in my mind. Probably because I grew up as a chess prodigy with demanding parents and coaches.

Also, grammar nazi tip: winning and losing are both singular words, but when you attach them with an and, the two concepts merge creating a plural thought.

tl;dr - Winning and losing mean absolutely nothing to me

That about sums it up.

Xenogenic is the worst team player ever!  I just got done playing a game with him.  We were all random.  They got two rooks, and ereb, and we got TB, UB, and Queen.  10 minutes in Xenogenic says on allied chat, " teams are unbalanced I'm going AFK until the game ends".  At the very least if you are going to leave, exit the game so AI can take over.  He just sat near the spawn fountain.  Meanwhile Dubtronic and I had great teamwork and had outkilled them 2 to 1, but our war score was hurting because we didn't have enough DMGd's capping flags.  So he desereves a little redemption in the fact that 10 minutes later when he saw us winning in kills he came back to finish the game and we ended up winning.  I don't think I'll ever play with him again because of his poor sportsmanship.

Nawww Hedgie it was just for you, not just "people".

well, you are correct. Hedgehogs are not people ._.

Cind3rs, you might want to add this stuff to the list:

- Communicate your gold from time to time, esp when war rank increases (eg "5k", "8k"). This helps your team organize around cit upgrades.

- As soon as you are able, always, always, always carry tp scrolls. If your teammates are engaging, and there is a good chance of a kill, tp in. If you teammates are in trouble, tp in.

- Pay attention when you tp. If the enemy leaves, and you're leaving a flag or tower, or aborting a push, you should abort the tp and go back to what you were doing.

Back to the topic on hand? I think 'Bus-throwing' as the OP calls it is annoying but cant really be stopped by the forum. However Oak and Rook are great for saving nooby team mates. Long range slow by Oak then sheild and Rooks good ol' long range stun on entire lanes XD

You know I agree with you there. Its as if people think the Rook is too big to teleport away. Half my rook kills are from tele-stun-hammers ^^

Best thing about playing QoT beside being a half naked fairy with very....VERY..suggestive dialect. Every gets pissed when you can't shield them because you are oom or still in cooldown.
