Exanchorite Freezes the Game

Exanchorite Freezing a Game

Exanchorite has ~147 games with a 27 percent win %.  In the last game, directly after I killed him he froze the game and started ranting in the chat about how the game was off balance.  He eventually d/ced and my team was given the win.

btw he (or she maybe?) has a speed of 0 -1 , and that made a game I had with him extremely boring.

Maybe it was not proposital, just a crap machine with high settings.

Nah it was intentional all sim speeds were in the 7 + range.  Just make sure to never let this douchebag join your games.

I play with Exanchorite and he's a good person and don't you think his stats would be higher if he went out of his way to cheat? He's experienced, nice, a good player and undeserving of this post. Please remove your post and at least consider the possibility that something else froze your game.

I agree, Exan is not purposefully cheating he dropped in a game yesterday that his team was clearly winning. Its his connection, maybe in a bad area, but hes not doing it on purpose. I 'm surprised he keeps playing, I would love to have him on my team if he didnt have trouble dropping. Hes very good

Ok, first off, he was ranting in chat all after I killed him easily (he ran straight into my tower farm). Second, he's not on trial here, he doesn't need a character witness. Two people in this thread saw him freeze the game the second he died, then rant. If he were just a lagger with a bad connection, the connection popup would initiate. He froze the game before he dropped. That is an undeniable exploit.

Hello all,

First let me say I just play this game for fun.  I don't care about stats.  I abhore cheating and I like the underdog.  I like an even game, but I will join with two noobs a lot of the time just because I like beating better players with more inexperienced players.  I have never intentionally "frozen a game" or done any other cheating/exploiting.  I don't have time to learn how to do this and I think the people that do are children.

I am running Vista on a 2.1 dual core connected wireless about 70 feet away from the router.  It is true that I have disconnected a fair amount, but it was never intentional.  Usually my connection is solid with one exception...  It seems that every game so far with RobertMunch I have disconnected, and for this I have no explanation.  The only thing I can think of that might make me drop is that I share my connection with a person that uses netflix which I'm told takes up a lot of bandwidth.

The only person in the game I have ever had harsh words with was "Throbbingwood" and we solved our dispute with a 1v1 where he beat me.  I have started checking my connection before I start games now so hopfully that will solve most of the problem.

Happy New Year everyone

Just tried playing another game with _RobertMunch_ and right when the game started he disconnected so we conceded... anyone have any ideas as to why?  Some kind of conflict that does not let me play with him.

Your sim speed was find, your ping was well within acceptable range, yet the second you died the game froze and you started talking. If you really have bandwidth problems, build yourself a parabolic reflector, but until that day, I suggest to all other players: avoid exanchorite.

Exanchorite and I played a game today. It seems he has a wireless connection. I used to have a wireless network, but because of it's unreliability for gaming I eventually just wired up my house.

The problem with wireless is that it gets jammed by pretty much everything. Wireless routers operate at 2.4 Ghz, as so phones, and microwaves leak some 2.4 as well. When this happens, you wireless connection starts to drop packets.

If you have to play on wireless, make sure you are close to your router as possible (mind you, if you are close enough, just run a wire). Make sure your wireless phones are off/unplugged, don't use the microwave, and if you have a CRT TV, keeping it off would be a good idea too.

If you're in an apartment, I'd suggest just moving your broadband connection closer to your computer or vice versa so you can run a wire, because all your neighbors are close and at least one of them is using a 2.4 Ghz phone.

Packet switching motherfucker, do you use it?
