Fences - icons doing a runner out of their boxes to normal desktop

Windows 7 and XP

I have Fences on laptops with Windows 7 and XP. (good prog btw, wouldn't be without it after a few weeks using it). On the XP laptop there are no problems. On the laptop with Windows 7 some icons are jumping out of their boxes and appearing on normal desktop space. Seems to be the last program used and maybe a after a change in video resolution (after running visualisations on RealPlayer).

Is it a bug - would re-installing help - is an update likely for W7. ?

I am experiencing the same thing, plus some more.

Sometimes, when I delete a file that is on the desktop but not in any of the fences, one of the icons in a fence will jump out.

And not only that - sometimes when I start up all the icons are out of their fences and are in one spot on top of each other on the desktop.

Adding my name to the list.

Windows 7 (problem started after installing.  This was a clean install, not upgrade)

1.  Icons for programs that run in "full screen mode" jump out of fences when program is exited

2. On two occasions in last two weeks - all icons in fences "stacked" one another (quite literally) on desktop.  This occurred when computer idled during "use" (i.e. screen saver kicked in, desktop loced, and monitor went into power save mode)

3.  One occurance of all icons "disappearing" but fences remained during "fresh" driver install (GeForce 9500 GT - most recent driver posted)

Otherwise, a great program!  Like Oporus indicated must have program after installing and using.

Same issue here, Windows 7 64bit, Icon jumps to random spot on desktop after being run.  If a video driver or resolution is changed all icons jump to 1 spot on top of eachother.  Very annoying

Same for me with Win 7 64bit & Fences Pro

Ditto the last program activated will jump out of fence and onto desktop. Only seems to do it when the app opens full screen (IE games)

What's the word on the fix for this?  I am still having the problem and there is no update on Impulse yet.

And it's getting worse, i think...

Now when i change resolution for some reason (game or application), many icons (not only one anymore) jumps out their fences for the desktop or another fence, it's a huge mess. I spend my time backing up my desktop.

I'm already upset because IP won't work with win7 64bits, now it's Fence pro wich plays with my nerves many times a day. And THIS is a very useful and needed tool unlike Iconpackager.

Come on...:annoyed:

So far this has been a great program, and I'll be checking out the Fences Pro to see what it offers.  However, I have a slightly different problem and I'm sure it's just because I'm not understanding my choices.  Unfortunately the help page runs off the screen so that doesn't help me.  My computer desk (corner model) has me sitting about two feet from my monitor and I wanted to enlarge the font slightly (114%).  That also enlarges the fences and the icons.  There's something about screen resolution in setting and I've tried several things, but the fences are always bigger.  Am I doing something wrong or can't I keep the fences smaller?

Hi Zargon0225

With 100 icons I'm of course VERY happy with Fences - but I have the same problem as above.

Time to time, when I open the computer I have to reorganize all icons, which is very time consuming.

I'm just wondering, if there is still not a fix for this problem?

This is fixed in Fences 1.0.1 please update to the latest version and report back here if you still see the issue.

I am still having this problem with Fences 1.01.4956.  Win 7 64-bit.  When I save changes to a file that is in a fence it jumps out.

Please tell us the application you are saving the file from and the steps to reproduce.
